1-Year Health Guarantee & Care Agreement

At [Your Business Name], we are committed to the health and well-being of our puppies. To ensure that you feel confident in your purchase, we offer a comprehensive 1-Year Health Guarantee for all our puppies. Please review the following important details and responsibilities regarding this guarantee:

Health Guarantee Overview

1. Initial Health Examination

  • Vet Visit Requirement: You must take your puppy to a licensed veterinarian within 10 days of purchase for a full examination. This ensures your puppy is in good health and that any health issues are detected early.

  • If the veterinarian finds the puppy to be clinically ill or deceased due to an illness or injury contracted prior to the sale, you are entitled to one of the following options:

    • Return the puppy for a full refund

    • Return the puppy for a replacement of equal value

    • Retain the puppy and receive reimbursement for reasonable vet fees (up to the purchase price)

2. Genetic Health Guarantee

  • If within 1 year of purchase a licensed veterinarian diagnoses your puppy with a congenital or hereditary defect that adversely affects their health, you are eligible for the same options listed above.

  • In the event of a diagnosis, you must notify us within 2 days of receiving the veterinarian’s statement. Failure to notify us within this time frame will result in forfeiture of your rights to the guarantee.

Exclusions & Responsibilities

  • Post-Purchase Care: The health guarantee is void if the puppy is sold to a third party or if the puppy is exposed to infectious disease or injury after leaving our care. Please keep your puppy away from high-risk areas for diseases and take necessary precautions.

  • Vet Fees: The breeder is not responsible for any vet bills incurred by the buyer after purchase. If a genetic disorder is discovered, we will reimburse treatment costs up to the price of the puppy, but we do not cover ongoing vet bills.

  • Shipping & Health Certificate: If your puppy is shipped, it will have undergone a vet check and received a health certificate before delivery. We ensure that the puppy has received its first round of vaccinations and de-worming. However, follow-up vaccinations and de-worming will be necessary once the puppy is in your care.

  • Vet Diagnosis for Genetic Defects: If a genetic disorder is suspected, a vet’s letter on business letterhead, stating that the condition is genetic, must be provided. This letter should include the vet’s contact information, and we reserve the right to discuss the diagnosis with the vet.

Care and Maintenance Responsibility

  • Ongoing Vet Care: We strongly recommend following your vet’s advice on follow-up shots and de-worming. Proper immunization and care are crucial for your puppy’s health.

  • Puppy’s Safety: Treat your puppy with the same care you would a newborn. Be cautious where the puppy is taken and handled to avoid unnecessary exposure to infections.

Replacement and Refund Policy

If a puppy is found to have a congenital or hereditary defect, we will offer a replacement puppy of equal value once the original puppy is returned. The original puppy must be returned before a replacement can be delivered.

By Purchasing a Puppy from Us, You Agree to the Following:

  • The puppy will be promptly taken to a vet within 10 days of arrival for a health check.

  • You will assume full responsibility for the care, treatment, and vet bills for the puppy once it leaves our care.

  • If your puppy dies due to a health condition within the first year, an autopsy may be required at your expense. If the condition is deemed the breeder’s fault, a replacement puppy will be provided.
